Corona Virus Update
Dear Central Park Pet Retreat Client,
We wanted to reach out to you directly regarding the current situation we all find ourselves in. The past few weeks have been challenging for everyone, and the situation is quickly evolving as we learn more about the Coronavirus disease.
All of us at Central Park Pet Retreat care about your family and take the responsibility of caring for your pets very seriously. We are vigilantly monitoring and acting upon advice from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and local officials to maintain a safe and healthy environment at our facility. We are currently open for business and ready to continue serving your pet care needs, including boarding and daycare services.
We have reinforced the importance of thorough hand washing with all of our staff and instructed anyone who is not feeling well to stay home and contact their health professional. In addition to our normal rigorous cleaning practices, we have heightened our cleaning and disinfecting procedures to maintain a healthy environment, with special attention to frequently used surfaces such as doorknobs and countertops.
Pet parents are understandably concerned about the COVID-19 virus as it relates to the health of their pets. WHO currently advises that there is no evidence to suggest that dogs or cats can be infected with the Coronavirus. The CDC also seconds that opinion, stating that, "At this time, there is no evidence that companion animals including pets can spread COVID-19." However, it’s always a good idea to wash your hands after interacting with animals.
We will continue to monitor the course of the outbreak and update our response as necessary, according to all federal, state and local directives as they apply to our business. Please check our Facebook Page for the latest information. Thank you for your continued trust in us.
